Aman Economic Zone

Aman Economic Zone has a gross area of 150 acres (approx). Aman Group is working as both investor and developer of the economic zone. The zone has all the potentials to accelerate into a successful economic zone with a few major facilities from Aman group being already in place there. By far the largest state-of-the-art cement factory in the country, Aman Cement Mills Unit-2 Limited uses fully automated latest ultramodern VRM (Vertical Roller Machine) manufacturing technology from Germany with a production capacity of 10,000 MT Portland & Composite Cement per day has been established within Aman Economic Zone premises. The others notable concerns are Aman Packaging Ltd., Aman Foods & Beverage Ltd., Aman Shipyard Ltd., Akin Carriers Ltd., Akin Feed Ltd., Anwara Feed Ltd., Aman Green Energy Ltd., Aman Steel Mills Ltd., Aman Power Plant Ltd. The specialized entity is open for any other industries by local and foreign investors.

In olden times dating back to late sixties of the last century during the erstwhile Pakistan period the ancestors of the present Directors of the Group started trading & contractual business on a small scale at their native district Rajshahi situated at the northern part of Bangladesh.

Value Creation: Wealth Through Activity

At some point in the mid 1980's the Group think tank felt that mere trading business and earning wealth through that activity may bring prosperity to individuals of the family only. But as a well-placed family in the society the social obligation to the poor rural mass for doing something for their economic upliftment was pricking their conscience.

Development & Opportunities

This has greatly influenced to think about initiative where investment can generate opportunity for the rural mass whatever the size of employment may create. At the first instance some agro-based industries were thought of. This led to establish a number of cold storages in the northern Bangladesh. This further continued with an establishment of a cement grinding industry.

Aman Trading: 21st Century

With the advent of 21st century, formation of a Group with the trading houses, contractual firms working individually under the banner of Aman Trading Corporation & few industries like cold storages & one cement-grinding mill with a corporate character was completed.

Economic Revolution

With the sharp changes in the socio-economic situation of the country the Group vowed to tap the prevailing scopes for establishment of industries. At the same time Group realized that in order to expedite the works of establishment of medium and large-scale industries, availing the facilities offered by the Government and for easier correspondences with the agencies of theirs as well as to avail quick banking facilities, the shifting of the Corporate Office from Rajshahi to capital city Dhaka was unavoidable.
